This project was my third bowl, on it i used a blue and yellow glaze. The form of this bowl was a wide form, it was also not a very tall bowl. A skill i used here was being able i use the rib tool to make the form of a bowl. An art element I used here was color, the yellow makes the bowl stand out. A design element i used was contrast, the yellow and the blue didn't go well together so there is a lot of contrast here.

This project is my wheel altered. On it i used a blue and white glaze. The surface is smooth and it's form and shape is relatively small. I did a half and half glaze with the blue and white glaze. A skill I used here was being able to use my tools to make the shape for the wheel altered. An art element I used here was shape, with the four sides pushed in, this cylinder has a nice shape. A design element used here was balance, the blue and the white go well together and emphasize the shape of this.
These three bowls are for my set of three project. The three bowls are pretty similar in size, the colors i used were blue, and turquoise. First i would dip each of the bowls into the blue glaze, let that dry. then i dipped then into the turquoise after. A skill i used here was being able to use the rib tool to make the bowl form. An art element in these bowls is form, the colors and the form of the bowl really come together. A design element used here is contrast, the colors have a nice contrast and the both compliment each other nicely.
This project is my cup project on the wheel, i used a blue glaze and turquoise glaze on this project. First i dipped half of it in the blue glaze, then i let that try and then dipped it in the turquoise glaze. A new skill i learned for this is being able to pull a handle. An art element would be color, the colors i used on this compliment eachother pretty well. A design element could be unity, the colors and the cup to really well together and it makes the cup stand out.
This is my first bowl project. It is a small bowl overall, not very wide and not very tall. I used all blue on this bowl, and it turned out pretty well. I dipped it all into the blue and wiped off the bottom of it so the glaze doesn't drop and stick to the kiln. A skill that i got better on with this project is pulling the wall. An art element i used on this is texture, the texture is very smooth all around the project. This project i made was my second bowl. It is a wide bowl and it isn't very tall. the surface on it is very smooth. The colors i used were black and green. I first dipped in half of it, then waited for it to dry. Then dipped in the next half of it in the green. A skill that i got better at with this project was being able to pull the wall better. An art element that is used here is Value, the dark black and the light green have value when put together. A design element used here is unity, these two colors that i used compliment each other pretty well. |
